New Signature Banners/Avatars: What fauna/flora would you like to see?

So, I have been approached to redo SCAPE's signature banners and avatars.

I was wondering, what fauna/flora you guys would like to see.

Hi Nicole, so it is you Mr Brownthumb (Rey) was talking about

After Rey and Nicole helped to update some of the older banners, we discussed creating some new ones with photos posted on our site (with the permission of the photographers of course).

Please take the time to post up any pictures you think would make great looking banners/avatars. Take into account that they will likely be the same size as these originals:

Thank you for your participation

That makes my life a lot easier. Plus, I was going to stay with the dimensions as it is.

By the way, can I PLEASE redo your signature too. lol\

But yes, Rey did approach me.

I'm the person that has created logos for Rootmedic and Tank Planters on TPT.

I would love to see some of their CRS pictures used. There are so many shrimpers here and we need some representation of that.

That was actually something I was thinking about. The original 3 are plants only, and I kind of thought about doing a shrimp one, a plant one, and a fish one. Just so that people had more to choose from, for what their main interest in a tank is. Although I do realize the acronym for SCAPE doesn't mention fauna.

We are open to all aspects of the hobby that SCAPE members want to see, including fauna. These banners will represent the club which includes more than just the plant aspect. So we will let the members decide what they want to see from our tanks. If you see a cool picture you like post it hear.

We are actually going to have a vote/poll for the banners and choose the most popular ones to use

Very nice by the way

So this is just a prototype. I wanted to keep it in the lines of the original one. This is not complete as I need to make sure the spacing is right and what not.

I am working on a completely different one as well.

It's really cool that you're doing this. I hope you don't mind some suggestions here.

The colors/contrast are very nice. Maybe a little too strong of a contrast? I don't know, I do like the contrast. Perhaps another treatment with a more softer - "flow" of color instead of the hardness it is currently. Somehow, soften it up a little?

I think another font choice here would be better or at least, the "effect" done to the logo. I think it's a bit too hard/techy/sci-fi for aquascaping, which is earthy/green/nature-like. Currently, makes me think of sci fi movie title-like — SCAPE "Alien Vs Predator 4" Battle for the Water Planet.

Ha...talking about sci-fi, Discus looks kinda like spaceship fighters.

Perhaps you were influence by the recent release of STARCRAFT II
